  Pair of handpainted Egyptian perfume bottles (one has a bakelite top). I understand these were for the tourist market, visiting Cairo, shortly after WWII. The bottles do not have any of the noted "Attar of Roses," perfume, but does have the original paper labels mostly intact. Some of the paint has chipped away from the art.
  
  Measures 3 1/4" tall (with top) x 1 1/4" diameter. Bottle bottom is embossed: Made in France. Paper sticker reads: Shahrzad Palace Perfumes, 11, Mariette St. Cairo, Opposite the Egyptian Museum, ATTAR OF ROSES
