Back in 1994, I discovered antique auctions -- the people watching and concession food was (and still is) a great way to unwind after a long day. A boutique-owner friend gave me lists of items needed for her store located in an exclusive part of Dallas. She became my mentor, and taught me about the world of antiques and collectibles. Soon, I was buying vintage items I thought would sell, and had a great track record in that posh Dallas store. The rest is history! Almost 30 years later, I still consider this my hobby, and I enjoy every minute of being an Etsy shop owner. (And, still enjoy Frito Pie at the local auction house!)
