  This wonderful bird figurine bud vase comes from "California Carollers - Clay Sketches - Pasadena, California". Clay Sketches is one of the many interesting and classic potteries to produce unusual items in 1940s and 1950s. The birds are colored like Goldfinches -- bright, cheery, yellow with black wings and tail feathers. The plant branch perch is white, as is the base. A pink dogwood blossom adds a pop of color to complete the unique style of the bud vase. The vase opening is just above and to the left of the blossom. This wonderful vase/figurine is 8-1/2" tall x 4" wide x 3 1/2" deep.
  
  This piece is crazed throughout, but is in great vintage condition -- no chips, cracks, repairs.
  
  This would be a fun gift for the California Pottery, bird figurine, or vase collector. It would also be a nice gift with flowers.
