Pensive Madonna (or Madonna Pensosa) is the first plate in the "Living Madonnas" series, by artist Master Ado Santini, and maker Studio Dante di Volteradici, 1978, from Italy. Numbered and signed on back.
The hand-carved plate measures 8 1/2" diameter and in mint condition. Original box, with dark brown flocked interior, has certificate and info booklet included. Box has some wear but also the history of the plate which traveled from Italy. (stamps, stickers etc.... )
