This whimsical 7 1/2" plate is the perfect gift for a young child, or wall grouping in a child's room. The plate features the Bunnykins family sailing on a homemade log raft. While Daddy Bunnykins relaxes, the children are engaging in various seaside activities: fishing with a net, hoisting sails, using a spy glass and naturally, one is falling overboard. The design of this plate is titled "Playing on the River" and was created in 1952 by Barbara Vernon and Walter Hayward.
The plate is in good vintage condition -- no chips, cracks, repairs, minor scratches from wear. Slight yellowing from age, and some crazing in the glaze.
